After celebrating Christ's birth at Christmas, I can't help but think of his resurrection. He was born so that he could die.
"I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:10-11
"The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life." Luke 9: 22
"(the women) found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus...He is not here; he has risen!" Luke 24: 2, 6
"Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?
...thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus" 1 Corinthians 5:55, 57
I've had this song on repeat today.
